Far, far from home...

So, I'm in Forfar, many miles away from home, and I've found myself on Lindsay's parent's dial-up PC.

Bleh!

Just a quick one tonight, because the internet connection is so slow that I feel I've already aged a year waiting for it to load this page. So, a quick summary of what's been going on:

- Josie doesn't like being away from home.
- I miss the country.
- I've had a mild cold these last three days, and it's been worst today. Brilliant. Just what I need as I'm going on holiday.
- The weather has been brilliant.
- Josie got a sand pit from her grandparents for her first birthday. She loves poring sand on everything (but doesn't like grass on her bare feet).
- I'm thinking of putting a graphic novel together (if I can find space between commissioned work).
- Strawberries, raspberries and cream are dead tasty.
- Lindsay and I are sleeping in her parents bed when we stay here - which is odd.
- Dial-up sucks.

Okay, that'll do. I may make a better entry when I hit my parents. Their house may not be as nice, but they have broadband (oh, bless-ed broadband!).

:D

We could compromise on the graphic novel versus commissions thing; I could commission you to do a graphic novel! How's your hand at Black Spiral Dancers in crinos? ::wringing of hands::

Sure...

Not a problem - BSD's in crinos are a cinch (given time). Not sure you could afford me though, Shiv.

!

Try me! (We made about a thousand dollar *profit* at our latest festival, vending.) If you give me a quote and time frame of when you could potentially have free time to illustrate a graphic novel, I'm sure Old and I could pull together a story (and actually finish it for a change) and I could cram for a summer to make the money to fund the project.

Pik-kidy doo-da!

Well, if you're sure you want to, drop me an email at andy at hapimeses dot com and I'll post you back any details you want. I have a queue of 3 commissions just now (1 character portrait, 1 website graphic and 1 illustration), but they're not more than a couple of weeks work or so (once I get started on them at the end of the week). I'll warn you though, I'm not that cheap.

;)

How are you, by the way? Long time, no chat.

Indeed, we could have the cover be our characters in a police line up ala Usual Suspects..

I'm doing great!

I'm doing great, Shar. How about you?

The holiday has certainly brought a few things back into perspective.
